The Importance of Gender

This week we discussed gender in great detail.  There are many things that make up who we are.  Gender is a characteristic that is eternal.  Gender is something we cannot change or control.  What a blessing it is to live at a time in which we have this knowledge.  We were able to discuss how we can be better as parents and how to teach our children.  This caught my attention as I want to raise my son in the best way possible.  Knowing and better understanding these basic truths will help me in the future in being more considerate as well as knowing what needs to be discussed with each child.
